JUNIOR TRIATHLON PROGRAM

Our program is designed to make each athlete a better person through sport and create a sense of community in a family environment. The success of our program is geared toward the whole athlete approach and goes beyond winning races or achieving better results.

  • Face-to-face coaching at each set session.
  • Parents are encouraged to be involved and communicate directly with triathlon coaching staff.
  • Individual sessions may be set outside of normal coached sessions weekly by your coach based on level of training and goals.
  • Online training software will be closely monitored for each athlete.

Regardless of your experience or goals, we have the team and skill to get you where you want to go!

SWIMMING SESSIONS:

Tuesday and Thursday | 4:00pm-5:00pm
Additional swim/bike or swim/run brick sessions each week starting mid-November 2019

RUNNING SESSIONS:

Wednesday | 4:00pm originating at PPATC
Sessions will be outside, weather permitting, and inside on days with inclement weather

TRAINING PROGRAMS:

Each athlete will be given a Training Peaks online account to access weekly training programs, and upload data from swimming, running, and cycling sessions.

GROUP SOCIAL SESSIONS:

Social session with athletes, coaches, and parents | at least once per month
These sessions will be great for getting to know participants and families outside formal training sessions and double as educational seminars with regular presentations from specialists in key training areas.

PERFORMANCE TESTING:

As athletes progress and their training goals gain momentum, it will be important to undergo performance testing. At PPATC, we have the tools to perform everything from swimming and running analysis to lactate testing and bike fitting.

    • 1 x running session per week (Wednesday)
    • 1 x cycling session per week (TBD)

    Cost: $115 per month

  • Junior 2: Level II
  • Register

    • 2 – 3 x swimming sessions per week (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday)
    • 2 x running session per week (Wednesday & Saturday)
    • 2 x cycling session per week (TBD)
    • Weekly training program & Training Peaks basic account
    • Group presentation & get together each month

    Cost: $145 / $75 (PPA Swim Team Member) per month

  • Register

    • 3 x swimming sessions per week (Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday)
    • 2 x running session per week (Wednesday & Saturday)
    • 2 x cycling session per week (TBD)
    • Personalized weekly training program & Training Peaks basic account
    • Weekly data analysis & feedback
    • Monthly field based performance testing
    • Group presentation & get together each month

    Cost: $195 per month

  • In 2019, USA Triathlon is offering a free youth digital membership (valued at $7.99) to all Pikes Peak Athletics Youth Tri Team participants.     USA Triathlon Membership

    Through this membership, your child(ren) will receive free access to all sanctioned youth events (no USA Triathlon annual membership or one-day fees required). This includes the USA Triathlon National Youth Series as well as the Splash & Dash Series (swim and run, no bike) for kids of all ages. Youth Series

    An automatic digital subscription of the quarterly USA Triathlon Magazine with a special Kids’ Section is included as well as other great resources about leading a healthy, fit, and active lifestyle.
