Carolyn earned her bachelor’s degree from New Mexico State University in journalism and mass communications and obtained a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Northern Colorado the following year. She is Pikes Peak Athletics’ Lesson Program Manager.
Carolyn has over 15 years of experience in swim instruction and coaching. Her passion for swimming and working with children makes her an essential asset to the program. Additionally, Carolyn has years of experience working with diverse and special needs populations. Prior to joining the PPA team, she was a reading interventionist and middle school language arts teacher. Carolyn swims on the Pikes Peak Athletics masters swim team and enjoys writing in her spare time.
