Jenessa joined Pikes Peak Athletics as an Assistant Strength Coach having recently moved to the area from Seattle, Washington. Jenessa swam competitively for eleven years, competing at the collegiate level for Seattle University swimming butterfly and freestyle and was selected as a Team Captain her senior year. She received her Bachelor’s in Sport and Exercise Science with a minor in Psychology and obtained her CSCS certification post-graduation. She has coached for US Masters teams based in Seattle, worked with Nike Swim camps, and served as a strength and conditioning/sport science intern for Seattle University Men’s Soccer in addition to the other Division 1 teams at the University. Jenessa enjoys working with a wide variety of sports, but especially loves being able to help swimmers improve their strength and performance in and out of the pool to build all around athleticism. After her years of swimming, she now enjoys competing and training for triathlons. When not swimming, cycling or running you can find her hiking or exploring the area for some great food places!
