Coach Kristin

Growing up north of Colorado Springs, Coach Kristin began competitive swimming in Castle Rock and continued her education & athletics at South Dakota State University, racing breaststroke and sprint freestyle. After receiving her degree in Sport and Recreation Management, she moved back to Colorado to pursue a career within the Olympic movement- following a passion for the business behind sports. With experience working at USA Triathlon, USA Swimming, and the US Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, Kristin then moved to Arizona for the opportunity to build the brand new competitive & development swim team programs with Life Time Arizona. After two years, the site grew to a roster of 90 swimmers of all ages- ranging from first time Regional (Silver State) 10 & under qualifiers, to high school Futures-level athletes.

Kristin joined Pikes Peak Athletics in September 2023. Her coaching philosophy is to coach each swimmer as they are- an individual. Kristin believes swimming is an opportunity for kids to not only create healthy physical habits, but believes this sport teaches kids to be a hardworking individual, how to set & achieve goals, and how to be a leader. When Kristin isn’t being a huge swimming nerd, she enjoys trail running, hiking, reading, and cheering on the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets.
