A locally owned organization providing quality aquatic-orientated programming since 2011 designed specifically for each audience. Programs include swimming lessons, a competitive USA Swimming team, masters swimming team for adults, swimming-related camps and clinics, triathlon training, personal training services, and more. PPA has also been named a SILVER MEDAL CLUB by USA Swimming, nationally recognized as a top 50 club of more than 3000 clubs in the nation for two years running!

Open House Schedule & Activities

  • Trial Swimming Lessons | time varies by level
  • Our program features experienced instructors with the goal of teaching fun, safety, and stroke technique in a warm-water pool. We want your swimmers to be confident, comfortable and efficient setting them up for a life-time of success in the water. Swim lessons are offered to children age 6 months to adults of all levels, ranging from beginner to advanced stroke instruction in both group and private lesson settings. As our lesson swimmers graduate levels we offer pre-swim team and competitive swim team opportunities.

    Find your swimmer’s level with our Find My Level tool. Trial lessons are 20 minutes long, please bring a swim suit, towel, and goggles if preferred.

  • Pentathlon | 11:00am
  • Tokyo Pentathlon Olympian Samantha Shultz will be leading a free pentathlon multiport event that includes an obstacle course in the gym, running, laser shooting, and a swim at the end (optional).

    • Ages 10 years and older.
    • If participating in the swim, you must be able to complete a 200 freestyle without stopping.

    Register to guarantee your spot, walk-ins are welcome.

  • Junior Lifeguard Class | 12:15pm
  • A fun introduction to the skills, techniques and equipment commonly used by professional lifeguards! Skills practiced include scanning, water entries & approaches, surface dives, use of rescue tube, and more. Receive a PPATC Junior Lifeguard course completion certificate upon completing the class. 

    12:15pm-1:00pm | Please bring a swimsuit, towel, and goggles.

    • Recommended for ages 10-14 years old.
    • Participants should be able to swim 100 yards independently and tread water for 1 minute.

  • Masters & Brick Workout | 1:00pm
  • Swim with our adult Masters team for this special workout! We are proud to provide a coach on deck at all times to help with stroke technique, motivation, and goals. Our team is a great community of friends with swimmers of all ages and abilities.

    Interested in triathlon? Join the workout with an added brick component (swim/bike). Please bring your bike and a trainer (PPA does have a limited amount of trainers available, to reserve please contact swimteam@pikespeakathletics.com).

    1:00pm-1:45pm | Please bring a swimsuit, towel, cap, goggles, bike + shoes, and trainer.

    Guided Fly Fishing | Valued at $400

    Spend a half day learning all about fly fishing from our very own, Coach Rob! Rob has spent the last four years guiding for Scot’s Sporting Goods in Estes Park. All gear will be provided, must purchase a 2024 Colorado fishing license for $16.33 per person.

    Sports Massage and Mobility Assessment | Values at $300

    Win an hour sports massage with Sports Therapy by Ell and a 40-minute mobility assessment by our very own Coach Chris! Ellie has a background in high-performance and competitive athletics. She understands sports recovery and rehabilitation-based massage therapy offer athletes that extra and essential edge by muscle tissues to stay healthy and injury-free. Chris is the Head Strength and Conditioning coach at Pikes Peak Athletics and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
